I’m originally from just north of Toronto, Canada, and currently work as Director of Technology and Innovation at York House School in Vancouver, Canada. Previously, I’ve worked as a technology leader and coach, librarian, and classroom teacher in international and public schools in Japan, Korea, the UAE, and Canada. I’ve administered courses and taught students online, helped to steer major school accreditation processes and the development of one-to-one and two-to-one laptop and tablet environments, taught adults at the graduate level, authored district-wide curriculum, and managed training systems as an officer in the Canadian Forces. I’ve researched and presented on technology in education, libraries, social studies education, social justice issues, and the interactions between online and physical learning spaces.
I completed my masters degree in educational technology at the University of British Columbia, and have been recognized as an Apple Education Trainer, Google for Education Certified Trainer, Apple Distinguished Educator, and Google for Education Certified Innovator.
I’m an avid traveller, and enjoy exploring the world to further develop my passion for photography.
