About Me

Brian Farrell

I originally hail from just north of Toronto, Canada, and currently work as head librarian at Branksome Hall Asia in Jeju, Korea. Previously, I’ve worked as a department leader, librarian, and classroom teacher in international and public schools in Japan and Canada. I’ve administered courses and taught students online, helped to steer a major school accreditation process and the development of a one-to-one Mac laptop environment, taught adults at the graduate level, authored district-wide curriculum, and managed training systems as an officer in the Canadian Forces. I’ve researched and presented on technology in education, libraries, social studies education, social justice issues, and the interactions between online and physical learning spaces.

I completed my masters degree in educational technology at the University of British Columbia, and have been recognized as an Apple Distinguished EducatorGoogle Certified Teacher, and Google Education Trainer.

I’m an avid traveller, and enjoy exploring the world to further develop my passion for photography.
